Our COVID-19 Policy

At DISCOVERY HIDA, we implement stringent infection prevention measures to ensure the safety of both our clients and local people.

What we do:

  • Guides are required to check their temperature on a daily basis. Those who feel unwell or record a fever above 37.5 degrees Celsius are not allowed to conduct tours.
  • Wearing masks is not mandate. This is up to guides.
  • Hand sanitiser is always available for the use of clients and guides.
  • Guides are fully vaccinated.
  • Equipment is always thoroughly cleaned after use.

What we ask:

  • Please let us know immediately if you suffer from symptoms, such as fever or a cough, which may be caused by COVID-19, either before or during the tour, or if you have tested positive for COVID-19.
  • We encourage you to be vaccinated before coming to Japan.
  • Please wear masks whenever necessary.
  • Please wash and sanitise your hands often.
  • We strongly recommend the purchase of travel insurance which covers any unexpected expenses resulting from COVID-19.
  • Please notify us if you test positive for COVID-19 within a week following your tour date.
